这里的in which =when, in what=where 吗？

请问什么时候in which 等于 when，什么时候in what等于 where呢？in which有些时候也可以等于where，今天做这道题已经要崩溃了。

用when的时候紧接在前面的必须是一个具体表示时间的词 XDF老师上课时说的

我觉得in what 不等于where，如果等于where，那么先行词where指代什么？
