23. A Labor Department study states that the numbers of women employed outside the home grew by more than a thirty-five percent increase in the past decade and accounted for more than sixty-two percent of the total growth in the civilian work force.

(B)   numbers of women employed outside the home grew more than thirty-five percent
(C)   numbers of women employed outside the home were raised by more than thirty-five percent
(D)   number of women employed outside the home increased by more than thirty-five percent

想问一下，B错是不是没有grow这种用法

不是错在 the numbers of 么? 改为the number of

那个也是错的～就是问一下grow有没有这种用法～

grow 后面貌似是应该接副词by,然后再跟一个数字或百分比
如grow by 30%, grow by ...等。不知道对不对。

  Number
  The number of   …的数量，谓语动词用单数
  A number of   一部分，谓语动词用复数
  Numbers of   大批的，谓语动词用复数

表增长
Grow Grow by 增长了+N,%; Grow to 增长到+N,% grow in+领域（value，price，size…）
Increase Increase by increase to increase in+领域（value,price，size…）On the increase 在增长中
Raise Raise+领域(value,price,size…) raise sth to do
Number
The number of …的数量，谓语动词用单数
A number of 一部分，谓语动词用复数
Numbers of 大批的，谓语动词用复数

increase/decrease/grow +数字；中间可以加by，也可以不加(OG12有不加by的例子)。

increase by 55% percent---right

incrase 55% perchent---right

但是说增加了几倍时，必须加by:

inrease two times---歧义，增加了两次还是两倍？

inrease by two times---增加了两倍
