第一题应该是因为A项有could但D项没有削弱原句语气

第二题个人感觉用AS的话句子重心变成了Organization 与逗号后的主语没办法照应

不晓得这么解释OK不大家补充哈 ^____________^

同问，第二题不理解为什么开头要用BECAUSE IT SEEMED TO BE

第一题由于前半句里用的是can，所以后面也得保持一致用can
原句有can这类能愿动词的，一般不要改变
D改变了原意

第二题如果用AS的话，修饰的是Hosea Hudson，而实际上应该修饰the Communist party ，所以选E

（B）As, 错因为，人as organization
（C）In that they seemed, in that=because they(无指）
（D）Since it seemed（缺to be）
（E）Because it seemed to be（因为这是唯一一个为穷人谋福利的组织，那人参加了进去)
