OA是A，我选的B，A,B都是被动，为什么A比B好？

比较it was said a squirrel could和a squirrel was said that it could
前者用的是it was said形式主语，it指代后面的整个句子，符合语法习惯，意思为据说一只松鼠可以。。。
而后者a squirrel was said that不符合语法表述，意思很模糊，好像在说一只松鼠被说它可以。。。很别扭

It was said that....本身就是惯用形式啊。it指代that从句。

a squirrel was said that it could。。。你把被动变成主动看看somebody said a squirrel that..不通啊

据说一直松鼠可以

一直松鼠被说成可以

意思还是有差的

而且A省略了that 简洁符合语言习惯

B 两个that放在一起罗嗦而且为表明松鼠是被谁说

在GMAT的语法里，主动语态是由于被动语态的，这题在prep破解里有解释的

A.正确，that后跟从句表示结果，it was said 中it 是形式主语

B，a squirrel was said that it could被动语态的表达不如主动表达明确

C.to be said to 被动语态表达不如主动表达明确，so...to be搭配错误

D. enough that搭配错误

E.enough to do所表达的含义与原句 so that 不同，to be said to被动语态表达不如主动表达明确

前面几位有说a squirrel was said that是表达不好，不明确

我想说的就是其本身应该是有语法错误的。

搜索了一下，大家看看下面的

"I was said that Ireland is a great country." seems to be either just plain wrong OR in the wrong tense and missing a "t":

"It is said that Ireland is a great country." (i.e., lots of people often say this)

It may be theortetically possible to concoct a sentence where "I was said" could be used, but it would be fairly unusual:

"Apparently I was said to be the best sales person in Europe. I guess that's why the company hired me."

Regarding the second sentence:
"I was told that Ireland is a great country" = Reported speech referring to a specific past conversation and the opinion ("is a great country") is expressed as a fact. You can also replace the "is" with "was" --- which is probably what most grammar books would "expect", but not necessarily what most native speakers would say.

我觉得如果是somebody was told that或是it is said that都对

somebody was said that应该语法就错了吧

Say 后面不能接双宾，所以B错。

正确的用法是：

it's said that...

somebody/sth is said to be/do sth....

我想问一下。。。A里面的It was said后面为什么有没有that?
