According to a recent poll, owning and living in a freestanding house on it’s own island is still a goal of a majority of young adults, like that of earlier generations.

A) Like that of earlier generations

B) As that for earlier generations

C) Just as earlier generations did

D) As have earlier generations

E) As it was of earlier generations

请问一下
                为什么这边E对
                it指代跟
                前面的it’s own 的it不同
                这样应该是不行的同一句的it必须指代同一件事不是吗

前面的it’s own island 应该是 its own land吧，所以其实 it 没有出现过

即使出现也不成障碍，因为前面的its明显指的是紧靠着它的前面的house, 而E选项中后面的 it was 中的it 是形式主语，是为了在和前面进行比较时形式上对称，并非代词，因此两者不会混淆，可以一起用

我觉得可能是

as it( owning and living in a freestanding house on its own island ) was ( a goal ) of earlier generations.

its 是指owning and living动作的主语还是指house?

为什么A不对呢？？

E选项那个it是指owning and living in a freestanding house on it’s own island这个goal

注意owning and living in a freestanding house on it’s own island才是句子主语

A的话，我个人觉得不如E好的原因是体现不出时态差别

白勇给的解释是，like+n.一般放在句首或者主语后面，与句子主语进行比较，作状语

另外，LZ打错了，题干中出现的是its，不是it's
