我觉得答案应该是D，GWD上的答案貌似有很多错的。
题目讲的是工人必须工作到合同规定的最后一天才能拿到薪水。scheduled的宾语是last day,不是the worker(they).E说they are scheduled错。除此之外，that的定语从句的确有问题。they are scheduled to collect.是个完整的句子（collect这里做收账，收款不及物动词），不缺少任何成分。that放不到这个句子中去。要想把the last day加进去，只能让他做状语。但那样，就不能用that 引导。
选D.
题目的意思是工人要等到计划的最后一个工作日才能拿到解约补助。所以last day是最后一个工作日，是last scheduled work day，last day they are scheduled to work.
E的表达有问题，想要说last work day，但是表达出来更像是在说last collection day。
