我觉得本句的形式应该是like X，Y do 关键是分出那个是X，那个是Y，对于X来讲应该是：the grassy fields and old pastures，可是正确选项的B中主语是 the bird itself 啊，还是不对称啊。

请大家帮俺看看。

感觉这里不是要求LZ说的这种主语的对称
整句话的意思是就像这些鸟要回来需要觅食和筑巢的草地一样，鸟本身的数量也在下降，在消失，这里消失的两个对象一个是草地一个是鸟自己

这道题是有比较的，我们把常常的修饰去除掉，其实主干就是：Like the grassy fields and old pastures , the bird itself is vanishing in the northeastern United States

所以觉得比较对象不对啊。

比较的对象是草地和鸟。他们相比较的相似之处是都在vanishing

嗯，比较对象是grassy fild and older pastures 与 bird itself 两者都在消失且导致消失的原因都差不多，由此可以得出并不是不同类的主体都不能能比较，当它们之间体现共同点时也是可以作为比较的。
