答案选的B 就是想问问为什么不加it 没有it的话读着非常不通顺的说

第一题，答案是C。
这句话的主谓是women work，后面的 many of them in ...修饰women，这是个结构不是句子，不需要谓语。而且其它几个答案都有明显错误。

第二题，B是正确的。
划线部分实际上是and引导的两个并列的定语从句，如果按你所说有it，那第二个定语从句就把宾语重复了两次，从语法结构上错了。

第一题：

an overwhelming proportion of women是主语 work是谓语么

后面的, many of them in middle management and light industry.是独立结构么

第二题：

a work that literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope’s contemporary, pronounced the greatest translation in any language

这里that引起定语从句修饰a work么

这里that指代a work作为pronounced的宾语

所以加个it就错了

第一题的many of them in ……是独立主格结构，用于补充修饰前面的名词或者主语，它不是句子，所以无需动词。
