It is acceptable for me to vote for a candidate whose opinions differ from mine on at least one issue important to me whenever I disagree with each of the other candidates on even more such issues.

我的理解是It is acceptable for me to vote for a candidate 的必要条件是两点：1.此candidate的opinions differ from mine on at least one issue important to me 。2.同时 I disagree with each of the other candidates on even more such issues.

不知道这种理解对不对。

其实我比较迷惑啦，那个whenever引导的句子到底怎么理解呢？

whenever 每当，你可以认为这是一个前提。

每当我不同意BCD三个竞选者的多于1个的重要看法的时候，我可以投票给A，虽然我不同意A的1个看法。

就是我和你不同，我也可以投票你，当我和他更不同的时候。
