答案A, 但是记得以前老师说the n1 and n2 谓语用单数，the n1 and the n2谓语用复数，这题怎解？谢谢！

是否用单数, 要看n1, n2 是否是一体的事物， 从句意来看


endurance     忍耐(力), 持久(力), 耐久(性) + consistency 一致性(指比赛中的一贯如一的发挥或表现)


应为两个事物. 所以应为复数


For examples, The Apple and banana of that    peddler are my favorite fruits.

According to the sentence, "endurance" and "consistency" here are two different meanings, therefore, you should use plural here. While as to the principle of LZM, the two nouns should tell the same things. Got it???



(B) The endurance and consistency of Lou Gehrig, a baseball star known as “The Iron Horse,” is legendary. "is" should be " are' here.



(C) Known as “The Iron Horse,” the endurance and consistency of Lou Gehrig, the baseball star, is legendary. the subject is    "the endurance and consistency", so "is" is incorrectly used here;second, "known as" The Iron Horse"" mismatch with the subject.



(D) The reason baseball star Lou Gehrig is known as “The Iron Horse” is because of his legendary endurance and consistency."the reason....is because.." is a wrong expression;

补充一下，不够完整，is legendary 的主语容易被confused

这道题我也有问题。

如果从表达含义的角度理解，endurance 和consistency 是两件事，应该用复数谓语动词。但是，既然是两件事，为什么只有endurance前加了the呢？是不是在两个名词并列时，第二个名词的定冠词可以省略？
