答案是EXCITING

对于答案本身我倒是没有什么疑问，只是找了半天没看到主语？

请各位大N看下，主语在哪里？

主句是The end of the eighteenth century saw the emergence of prize-stock breeding,然后后面跟的是独立主格with individual bulls and cowsreceiving awards, fetching unprecedented prices, andexcited enormous interest whenever they were puton show

其中独立主格里面有3个V-ing 的并列

这道题是“S+V+O，独立结构”的形式

独立结构=名词/代词+分词/形容词/副词/介词短语

这道题中是名词+分词的形式~~~

出现了平行连词and~~~并列连接几个现在分词~~

所以是receiving,fetching,and exciting~~

依据各位所说，The end of the eighteenth century是 sub， saw是V

18世纪看到了或是出现了。。。。。？

感觉还是有点奇怪啊。。。。

本人好多年没碰英语了，问的比较弱的话，还望各位谅解。。。。

我也正好想问这句话是什么意思， individual bulls and cows是指什么？这句话应该说的是股市吧？望哪位NN帮个忙解答一下，谢谢谢哈~~~

prize-stock breeding是专门用于比赛的动物.

所以译过来大体应该是:十八世纪末,涌现出一种饲养用于比赛的动物的现象,公牛母牛都可以独立得奖了,还可以卖出以往未有的高价,并且无论什么时候,他们只要一表演就能引得人们浓厚的兴趣.

时间或是地点名词+see/witness+宾语是一种常见的句式，意思就是这个时间或是地点发生了这样的事。在汉翻英的时候，运用这种句式显得比较地道。
