摘自三十六计

故曰：知彼知己者，百战不殆；不知彼而知己，一胜一负；不知彼不知己，每战必殆。

Therefore, I say: Know the enemy and know yourself, and you can fight a hundred battles with no dager of defeat. When you are ignorant of the enemy but know yourself, your chances of winning and losing are equal. If ignorant both of your enemy and yourself, you are sure to be defeated in every battle.
