这题我选了c，答案是d。虽然语意我也觉得d比较对，但是题中很明显有.....eliminated....and made的平行结构啊？

哦。。明白了，和appear对成

平行结构是appear…and make, 是对smoke的解释，这种smoke会使得本来受到惊吓的乘客觉得车子着火了。

这个我觉得是APPEAR 和 MAKE 平行.
