我只问一点，这里from which（或者还见过against which）后面直接接动词的到底是什么结构啊？？

还错过一个against which appear 的..

是不是这里的which定语从句引导词在从句中做介宾，倒装后把主语both the northern and 。。。后置谓语derive之后了呢？

这个题考的是 both XXX derive from which

from which 是状语，前置，则要用倒装结构， from which derive both XXXX

LS 正解,就是这么回事,D就是这么通过DERIVES排除的

借楼主的楼问一道from which

已经思考两个小时了。。。尤其是第一句，为什么对啊！！！

题目：
两个句子的不同之处在［］中，问哪个句子是对的。

Students at Carver High School are encouraged to pursue only those extracurricular activities from which ［stems success in college applications. ］

Students at Carver High School are encouraged to pursue only those extracurricular activities from which ［success in college applications stems.］

答案：
Both versions are correct! The original sentence inverts the normal order of subject (success) and verb (stems = “originates”), but this inversion is possible after which or in similar positions. There is no change in meaning.
