我当时选的E，因为感觉but连词前后应该平行，后来错了自己的想法是but另起一完整句且没有比较意义仅是转折故而不必对称平行？

我选的是D，因为感觉后面有个“and partly because。。。”就立马选了D，后来错了感觉是主动优先？

以上两个都是不平行被我误认为平行了，求大牛发表意见

第一个，我有个技巧...当but做“但是”的时候不用平行，做“而是”的时候需要平行，后者基本都是not...but...的情况

第二个，这题确实比较特殊，因为gmat平行原则是在其他没毛病的基础上遵循的，句意都不对，平行也就失去了意义，D acquire 不能是steer发出的，所以不对

第一题中，如果两个从句的联系并不是诸如but...not或者and这样谓语联系紧密的，可以不用平行
