这题答案是B，我选了C，以下是我的总结，其中D选项不知道解释的对不对
请大家指正

                    and their families have a history of high blood pressure are more likely than others to develop a severe form of the condition.
Whose跳过with+n介词短语结构修饰young people，介词短语不是句子主干，找主干的时候可以拿掉不看
如果是用and的话，那么young people是are的主语，with连接两个并列的修饰成分，一个是higher-than-average blood pressure，那么A/C中的另外一个修饰都是S+V的结构，不能和一个n对称，所以A/C错
A.      and their families have a history of high blood pressure S+V结构不对称
B.       whose families have a history of high blood pressure
C.       ！and a history of high blood pressure runs in the family S+V结构不对称
D.      whose families have a history of high blood pressure running in them them指代people还是families不清楚
E.       with a history of high blood pressure running in their family 两个with结构没有and连接，错

C的如何不对称？ a history 和runs 不是正好主谓一致吗？

B.whose families have a history of high blood pressure

C.and a history of high blood pressure runs in the family
如补出 and (with) a history of high blood pressure runs in the family -->with 后不能跟句子，错
如补出 and （have）a history of high blood pressure runs in the family -->与主句平行，逻辑错

D.whose families have a history of high blood pressure running in them （them语法指代young people，逻辑指代family,错）

E.with a history of high blood pressure running in their family （双with, 缺and连词，错）

Logical meaning: Studies show that young people, (修饰成分), are more likely than others to develop a severe form of the condition.

个人一点感悟，不一定正确，求NN和童鞋指正！

我一直不懂D为什么哎~them是宾语位置上的指代，离young people那么远，怎么会在语法上指代了young people呢？不是应该优先指代了families吗？谢谢~
