866. Tiny quantities of more than thirty rare gases, most of them industrial by-products, threaten to warm the Earth’s atmosphere even more rapidly than carbon dioxide during the next fifty years.

答案：B。请教下这道题为什么比较的前半部分用threaten一般现在时而比较的后半部分却用的将来时呢？请多多指教哦！

B: to warm the Earth’s atmosphere even more rapidly over the next fifty years than carbon dioxide will

1.more rapidly 是修饰warm的，所以比较的是thirty rare gases is to warm / CO2 will warm,这里是对等的。

2.threaten: 是未发生的事情，he threaten to kill you. --->he will kill you, perhaps not.

弱弱地问一句，这里的WILL不能够省略么，A错在哪？

我的理解是，后面有the next fifty years所以用will更好些，因为threaten本身带有未来的含义，所以不用will也可以。当前后都有will后面的可以省略will然后后面的部分只补出do，这里前面既没有will，后面也没有补出do。所以A不对。如果我的理解有误，请多多指教。

说的貌似有理。可是本题中后面若是will的话，补全了其实是will threaten to warm吧，而不是这位NN说的will warm。这样是不是很奇怪呢
