题目

1. Once positioned in space, the Hubble Space Telescope will capture light from sources twenty times fainter compared to those that can be detected by ground-based instruments.

(A) compared to those that can be detected

(B) compared to those they can detect

(D) than those that can be detected（D）

(E) than those detecting

答案是D，解释说是those 指代sources

我当时选的是C，认为faint修饰的是light，所以后面也是light can be detected

我的疑问，比较对象不是很清楚，觉得比较的是light不是source

别钻牛角尖 light是单数 those只能指代sources

忘说了，这题我选的是C

我觉得faint修饰的是light，对比对象也就是light，所以当时选的C选项

如果two times fainter修饰light 你把from sources往哪儿放？然后你解释一下修饰light那整个短语是什么意思写文章也要符合逻辑意思才行的
