答案选的D，但是thereby 的用法不是后边接动名词形式吗？谢谢了！

OG12也是给答案D

虽然查下来几个词典给的一些例句后面都是加动名词的

也有一些句子是把thereby当作thus来用的

这么说起来thereby的用法貌似是要推敲下...

如果当成thus来用那应该也是接动名词呀，那应该怎么解释这里呢？

thus可以不接动名词的
