正确答案为E

对于此题的出题点理解方面，OG上主要认为考的是平行结构，给出了这样一段话：

Parallelism requires that the same word forms perform the same functions in the sentence. Here, the linking verb is requires two infinitives: to salvage...to process(or to have ...processed)

根据这个出题点就开始批评B等答案因为is后面的if 和前面to do不parallel所以就错（当然B是错的，因为本身用的THEY 和单数的CITRUS是不一致的，这点暂时搁置）。

请问，这是个平行结构么？to salvage frozen citrus 应该是做定语修饰the way 的吧，表示做什么什么的唯一方法是。。。。所以提炼下就是THE WAY IS TO... 这是平行于不平行的问题么？

强烈同意
1、OG上很多这种题，本来不是很明显的平行，比如前后顺序、递进关系、因果关系的，统统都说成平行，感觉很牵强
2、OG上为什么这么强调平行、一致、单复数这些东西，感觉他们都是些小问题，考他们有什么实际意义吗？
3、"citrus "这个词，这么生僻，鬼知道他是单数还是负数啊，好像这类生词也不少，是不是GMAT还是要记单词啊？

1、OG上很多这种题，本来不是很明显的平行，比如前后顺序、递进关系、因果关系的，统统都说成平行，感觉很牵强（严重同意～～～～～～～～～～～）
2、OG上为什么这么强调平行、一致、单复数这些东西，感觉他们都是些小问题，考他们有什么实际意义吗？（职业经理人的素质考量？）
3、"citrus "这个词，这么生僻，鬼知道他是单数还是负数啊，好像这类生词也不少，是不是GMAT还是要记单词啊？（是个单数名词，意思是：柑桔属果树～～～～有时间就记点吧～～～～～～～）

请牛牛帮忙解答下疑惑～～～～～～谢谢～～

楼上莫激动，citrus还在6月份AWA里出现过呢，当时我也不认识，直接把它视为路人甲了。后来认识它了才知道，还是比较常用的。

OG11对平行的定义是：

Parallelism

Constructing a sentence that is parallel in structure depends on making sure that the different elements in the sentence balance each other; this is a little bit like making sure that the two sides of a mathematical equation are balanced. To make sure that a sentence is grammatically correct, check to see that phrases, clauses, verbs, and other sentence elements parallel each other.

Examples:

Correct: “I took a bath, went to sleep, and woke up refreshed.” Incorrect: “I took a bath, sleeping, and waking up refreshed.”

Correct: “The only way to know is to take the plunge.” Incorrect: “The only way to know is taking the plunge.”

这里的平行正是考的第二个例子，即is前后结构的平行。记住make sure that the two sides of a mathematical equation are balanced，很好的解释。

在主系表结构中主语和表语要对等这就是平行

to do is to do

doing is doing

就这么简单
