正确答案是C。可是题目问的不是additional experimental data吗?B说的不是文中本来就有的吗?我觉得B对,因为A组如果本身就含有高于15%的premature,那么实验的结果:A组babies还比B组babies好,不正好能够证明作者的结论:classical music is better than rock music for babies' growth吗?

首先不是高手,个人理解而已
结论:classic music 对于newborn 的development有好处
C:有classic music的比没有classic music 的好,不正是说明了,classic music 的好处吗?
(因为原文中,只说明了A比B好,即classic 比 rock 好,如果是两个都是有坏处的,而A相对于B来说不是很坏。而C选项中,多了一个与没有音乐的,正常情况的比较,则更能说明A的classic 是有好处的)
结论讲的是classic的好处
而B选项反而是削弱了classic的作用
我觉得C选项的内容没有问题,但是并不是additonal experimental data.
B选项之所以我认为可以选是因为
假设A和B的孩子本身没有差异,都是一样的。那么在经历了不同类型的音乐之后,A孩子所表现出来的情况要好于B孩子。
如果A孩子在实验之前就比B孩子情况差,而经过不同类型的音乐之后,A孩子所表现出来的情况反而比B孩子好。
不是更能support结论吗?

还是那个道理,没有和普通不听音乐的孩子比较,A比B好,不能说明,A是有益处的
如果是这样一种关系呢:普通孩子>classic的孩子>rock的孩子
那就算是B中所说的,classic比rock好的再多,也还是不如不听吧
我们要看清楚结论,讲的是,classic绝对意义上的beneficial 作用,而不是相对与rock的好与坏
C 增加了一项对normal孩子的比较,不就是additional experiment吗?
我做的时候上来就选了B,但看了C后,觉得C好。从此可以得出结论:做题时一定要看全选项。
分析这道题主要是看问题问的是什么,哪个选项支持这个结论:classical music is beneficial to the development of newborn
B选项中的早产儿算是无关因素,虽然能对比较结果作贡献,但在没有确定B组婴儿跟正常的婴儿有可比性之前,这个支持也只是conditional的。只能说明听古典音乐比听摇滚音乐对新生儿有好处,但得不到:听古典音乐比不听音乐(也就是一般情况)有好处的结论。
举个浅显易懂的例子:调查显示,在伟大祖国的首都北京,每天早点吃油饼的人比吃油条的人长寿,结论:吃油饼对身体有好处。
以下那个调查数据支持吃油饼对身体有好处的结论:
A,吃油条的人平均每天锻炼的时间比吃油饼的人多30分钟。
B,吃油饼的人的平均寿命比全北京市人口的平均寿命长。
