表达目的用to do不用for doing..

C用and连接表示并列，改变了原文的逻辑关系（目的关系）

弱弱地问一下哦,that scientists hope是修饰measurements的定语从句，所以hope应该是动词，那后面为什么可以直接加will do啊？前面主句主谓宾都有了，后面是伴随状语，这个will的主语是谁？

C正如上面两位所说，for doing不好，并列关系不好。

hope后面跟动词是错误的。

那A属于语法错误啊，答案应该还是c吧？虽然比较啰嗦而且也美中不足，但没有语法错误啊。

楼主，答案是不是A呢

我的思路是这样的，do something to do something表目的，如果要用for 那只能是do something for somehting,首先我就排除CDE看AB（一会再去看CDE的其他毛病）

第二个问题是，句子的意思是measurement enable the scientist to understand(understand的是scientist)所以C也不对，

B的问题是ENABLE后面动词前没有介词to

E的问题是改变了句意，measurement和 scientist自己去understand没有什么关系了

D的问题是with the purpose of doing somehthing，相比to显得比较罗嗦，，句子变得冗长，然后加一个which而且which引导非限制性定语从句指代对象不明确。

这里我也有自己的一个疑问A选项that后面引导的定义从句的逻辑上scientist hope the measurements will enable....

这个hope后面没有引导宾语从句的that在GMAT中不知道是否行得通，这个问题上D有存在相同的问题，所以没有考虑的时候没有办法完全把D排除

也请NN指导辨析

自己顶一下，hope作为及物动词能作为hope sth to do something 的结构吗，不了解，求教NN
