我选的是D，答案是C，想了很久不懂，向大家请教，谢谢了！

看D an understanding of cultural norms与比较对象that they grasp the pivotal business issues不太平行吧
C understanding cultural norms 与比较对象grasping the pivotal business issues对得多好

第一开始选的A，后来再看一遍就觉得肯定是C了，我觉得如果用when开头，逗号后面的句子就应该相应的用global manager做主语。所以AB排除，E没有了at least的意思了，所以排除，对于cd，一读就肯定C比较好了，又简洁又正确，一看就长的想正确答案。

通过平行排除a d e， b中 understanding cultural norms主语与前面的they不符，排除只剩c了吧，不知道这种排除法是不是比较激进。
