这个题目我最后是在DE只见进行选择，最后选择了E，正确答案是D。

实在不明白D哪里正确，E哪里错了？？？？？？？？？/

their last scheduled day 和the last day that they are scheduled 。。。。还能再明显点么后面的that从句是修饰the day的

E的话，collect的宾语就变成day了，但是collect的宾语应该是severance package——离职补偿金，所以D是对的。

E的they 不就近指代workers了？？

这里不是workers被collect。。而是package啊。。

they的指代不对，逻辑意思不对！！

想问一下in order to collect中collect是什么意思？

collect 表示领走，severance package 表示遣散费，E之所以错是因为the last NOUN that they are scheduled to VERB,这就意味着 NOUN 是VERB的宾语，也就是collect day ，所以不对

collect 在Dictionary.com 里有一条解释是：to receive or compel payment 其中举的例子是 to collect a bill
所以在这个句子中collect severance package 表示领取解雇金
E中that引导的定语从句中"they are scheduled to collect" 修饰的是"the last day" 变成 "collect the last day"

这里不是定语从句不是修饰the day 只能是同位语
