我选C。对比C和D，我觉得让步关系在这里更好些，而且can的时态比could的过去式好，主要remains说明这个情况一直持续。

1. even if 和 although 是不一样的. even if 是纵使的意思, 表达的是一种还没发生的情况; although 表达的是已经发生了的事实. 所以把even if 改成although会改变原来的句意.

2. can 和 be able to 是不一样的.

can 我认为它意味了客观的影响: Can I have a double cheese burger? 能给我一个double cheese burger吗?

be able to 强调了能力: Am I able to have a double cheese burger? 我有能力拥有一个double cheese burger吗?

所以在原文逻辑意义上没错的时候, be able to 和 can 是不能随便互换的.

补充一下：句子后半段使用了虚拟语气对过去的假设would have done。另外，find sth adj.

2 would have表示一种虚拟语气，缺少have没有这层意思，所以ABD错

3 being出现不简洁所以B错

4 ABE选项的appliances是复数，a miracle是单数，不一致，ABE错

5 v 优于 adj 优于抽象n 优于 v-ing，所以miraculous （adj）优于 miracle （抽象n），所以CD优于ABE

综上所述，愚以为选C，欢迎大家指正

我觉得这才是本题的关键。even if后面感觉超级别扭，原来是个省略了that的定语从句。
