Over the next few years, increasing demands on the Chattahoochee
            River, which flows into the Apalachicola
            River, could alter the saline content of Apalachicola
                Bay, which would rob the oysters there of their flavor, and to make them decrease in size, less distinctive, and less in demand.

答案是D。请问选项C有什么问题呢？没看明白他和saline content到底影响的是oysters还是"them"。

rob修饰的应该是increasing demands on the Chattahoochee
River could alter the saline content of Apalachicola
Bay这件事,或者更确切地说是修饰alter这个动词

而c中rob修饰的却是increasing demands 这个主语,所以不对.

GMAT语法中,which一般只能修饰名词性的成分而不修饰整个句子或整件事.

谢谢ogram！再分析了一下，从语义上C不通。对于Chattahoochee River的用水量增加，导致了其下游的Apalachicola Bay的含盐量改变，含盐量的变化进而产生对Oysters的影响（口味改变，尺寸变小，不再独特，从而导致需求降低）。这样子and所代表的并列关系就不成立了。

这主要是考察了平行结构吧，and rob不能和前面的结构平行。一看到and 就要想到平行

A 中to make显然不对；
B中make前还是要加and,以后存在的那个and 是make them ...+ ...and...,
同时it 指代不清楚，如果说this possibility更明确些；
C 中逻辑不通，增长的需求rob....就不对了，是整个这个情况导致。。。
D 中smaller比decrease in size 简洁。

为什么不选E呢？decrease in size 不是正好和后面的less in demand 对称吗？

C中最明显的错误是decrease是动词，后面的less distinctive, less in demand 是形容词，不能形成并列。

语意上讲，rob不能和alter并列，更应为为alter的伴随状语，表示alter动作产生的结果。
