后天就考试了，今天做Prep对这个题始终不理解，求达人讲解一下选C的原因。

In lavoratory rats, a low dose of aspirin usually suffices to block production of thromboxane, which is a substance that promotes blood clotting, but not seriously interfering with the production of prostacyclin, which prevents clotting.

C: a substance that promotes blood clotting, but does not seriously interfere

D: which is a substance that promotes blood clotting, but does not seriously interfere

句子结构：壮语+主句+插入语+but并列从句+定语

A选项存在以下几个问题：

1。句式不简洁

which is 应该省略。

2。but后应是与主句平行的结构。

主句为一个句子，but后也应是一个句子。but not seriously interfering，错。

C选项正确，

1。去掉了which is；

2。but后does与主句surffices对称，由于主语相同，所以but后比较从句可以省略主语。

是不是因为，如果选D的话，but does not seriously interfere 可能和which is 这个从句并列，也可能和that promotes 这个从句并列，C就只能和that promotes这个从句并列

加which is的话，应该是破坏了主句的平行结构。
