关于比较级中的一个题，答案是：

E) Degler does more than merely summarize existing research, he ..............................

没有做过谓语比较的题，虽然选对了。但是不懂这里summarize 是不是一定要用原型。

感觉应该是因为more than merely的关系才用原形吧...太晚了，懒得翻字典，明天查到依据再来确认下。脑子里突然蹦出：rather than (merely)+V.原形，应该是相似的用法。

我觉得more than在这里好像是“不仅仅”的意思吧，并不是比较级

又因为does是强调，所以用原型

应该是does的原因，rather than merely+动词原型没有根据。如any defensive pleading that affirms facts rather than
merely
denying the facts alleged by the plaintiff.
