为什么是D选项呢？

个人拙见哦!! 这是考平行和句子结构问题. A选项让整个句子没有谓语. B选项的borrowing和前面的名词不能平行 . c选项句意错误. E缺谓语

首先一定要出现谓语动词，所以排除A、C、E，其次考虑parallelism，前两个都是物，所以第三个images优一点。

但是为什么谓语动词是suggests而不是suggest？

前面三个名词并列不是应该用suggest吗？

                imagery,and images 就是平行结构。从属于Phyllis
                    Wheatley's
                    blending。由此可见，Phyllis
                        Wheatley's
                        blending 才是主语。blending是抽象名词，要求谓语动词为单数。因此，排除ACE。B选项过去分词borrowed缺少修饰对象，而且and后面是过去分词，与and前面的solar imagery不对称，所以错。

C选项，用which就近指代classism，逻辑不对。
