Q27： just as...so...固定搭配.

Q41：that跟前面的"hull that is the earliest surviving example"中的that并列，作为关系代词引导定语从句。而that后面的thus是说明了后一个定语从句承接了前一个定语从句的意思，两个定从之间存在因果关系.
