In the past year Harborville has had an unusually high rate of new cases of a certain disease. An investigation revealed that over the past five years Harborville's public water supply has had a high level of pollutants. Medical researchers have hypothesized that Harborville's water is responsible for the high rate of new cases of the disease.

这题答案选 C,我没疑问 ,但问题是 D里面的 NOT UNUSUALLY,双重否定不是表示肯定吗?这样的话 ,D的意思 `````

D的意思是：从私家水源中取水使用的人的新发疾病比率并“未异常”偏高。

“未异常偏高”就是“正常”水平。

据个例子：小明吃的并不比常人多，也就是小明和常人的饭量差不多。

再提醒一句：别总用什么“双重否定=肯定”的所谓“技巧”去做题。会把你弄得更晕。扎根阅读能力才是正道。而且，“双重否定=肯定，但不等于抵消”。

这一题我第一次写时在B跟C中间犹豫很久
最后选了B
想请问B是怎么支持的?

b说别的村水源有问题但是村民没生病
同因异果是削弱了

c说水源污染前久有人得病了
题目说最近high rate 了，意思是说以前也有，最近严重了

(B) The same type of pollutants that were found in Harborville's water have independently been linked to occurrences in other towns of high rates of the disease.同一种在H镇发现的污染物被与其他镇高致病率独立的联系在一起。控制了其他变量，更加说明是这种污染物的原因。
