标题: 请教NN，属格后面是否可以加doing？（由og202产生的联想）

202. After the Civil War, contemporaries of Harriet Tubman’s
maintained that she has all of the qualities of a great leader: coolness in
the face of danger, an excellent sense of strategy, and an ability to plan in
minute detail.

(A)
Tubman’s maintained that she has

(B)
Tubman’s maintain that she had

(D)
Tubman maintained that she had（D）

(E)
Tubman had maintained that she has

此题选D，.关于此题的问题是

（1）解释说T已经足够了，T's是多余的，但是我们平常说话不都是“a friend of mine”吗？按照此题的说法，不是应该都说“a friend of me”?

查了下薄冰语法，说双重属格（of n's）表示部分，of属格则表示同位关系，此题说来就是表示同位关系了，是不是这个原因 T比T's好？请NN认定一下。

另外我自己的问题

（2）of 属格和's 属格后面是否都不可以加doing？

比如“The boy's feeling happy makes me happy？”

（3）所有格后面可以加doing么？这点好像有违简洁原则，但是我在XDF的笔记本上看到说“动名词做修饰时候，主语为宾格或所有格”

比如“I appreciate you/your keeping a secret”

是否当doing是作为修饰成分的时候才可以这样呢？作为主语或宾语是否可以？

讨教了！！

嘿嘿，kid，一点个人意见，仅供参考

(1)在gmat语法中，双重所有格绝对错，赫赫

（2）The boy's feeling happy makes me happy？看上去非常的不爽，应该不对。

这句话改为That the boy feels happy makes me happy.会不会好点？

（3）I appreciate your keeping a secret.

这句话是对的。这里添加出your使得句意清晰明了。

这里的doing不是修饰成分，是appreciate doing的结构。

ETS is just like our 孔一己。 they just don't like everyday english . Ecsniffer is right:

a friend of mine -- no problem in speaking, writing, etc. but not GMAT

1、双重所有格: of 后的名词是名人，通常用of所有格，不用双重所有格：an old acquaintance of Nixon,请查阅徐广联主编的《大学英语语法》，内有详细全面地介绍。

2、所有格后面可以加doing么: 动名词可以有逻辑主语。1、逻辑主语是有生命名词，用所有格或宾格：动名词做主语，逻辑主语必须用所有格，不过动名词做宾语，逻辑主语可以用所有格或宾格。2、逻辑主语是无生命的东东，或逻辑主语是个长名词词组，或逻辑主语以s结尾，只用通格。3、逻辑主语是指示代词或不定代词，一般用通格。fficeffice" />

sorry，tianwan，有没有例句呀，看的好晕，比如说通格是什么呀

通格就是名词或代词本身，宾格是代词的宾格。

1、Tom's coming is what we have expected./     His leaving is a great loss. 有生命，主语。/ Mother disliked me(my) working late. 有生命，宾语。

2、He is opposed to the idea of money being everything.无生命。/ I don’t like Jack and Henry speaking ill of each other. 长名词词组。/ It was quite unexpected the students finishing the exam so soon. 以s结尾。

3、He was awakened by somebody shouting outside. 不定代词/     He disapproved of that being said about Jane. 指示代词fficeffice" />

补充：现在分词做宾语补语，不能用所有格:I heard him singing in the garden. /     I heard his singing in the garden. 错误。

"A friend of mine" is cool... "a friend of my" (= "a friend of T's") is not. "me" is another story.

唉！NN们的解释我也看得很晕，不过有一点要记住：GMAT中双重所有格一般是错的，目前好像还没有看见正确的例子。

mine是名词性物主代词，相当于一个名词，指代的是前面已经出现的名词，只不过这个东西是属于我的

My income is double his/Tom's。his/Tom's在这里都是名词性物主代词
