题目是讲: 原先的设计是将重心放在金属中心处, 而现在是将其放在边缘.
首先, 我认为这里没有转折的关系, 所以A, B, D的but转折不成立.
再来看A: the weight of the discus (used in track ....), but not it is ..., 此处it指weight of the discus, 与后面的 is lined with lead around the perimeter不匹配, 应该是由discus is lined with lead around the perimeter.
B问题同A.
E我认为是be designed having its weight... 用法不对.
查了朗文词典,一般的用法是:
design something to do something
be designed for somebody/something
be designed as something
纯属个人意见,希望有帮助.

不会呀 一个是定语修饰n. 一个是句子的谓语 E错是缺少第二个可以和前文was对比表时态的助动词is（此时is不应该省）
另外 偶觉得AB的主要是it的指代有歧义 不像C的its那么清楚

我也错选了D。
回过头，反复读一下D发现designed with its weight concentrated 是被动语态的，discus应该是被designed而不是designed with its，这里的it指代discus，所以D这样用就不对了。
如果将once designed with its weight concentrated in a metal center看成修饰，那么前半句话就不完整（没有谓语），所以D还是不对的。

原句式想表达，曾经设计关注concentrated, 现在它关注perimeter
若把D放入原句The discus used in track competition, once designed with its weight concentrated in a metal center, but now it is lined with lead around the perimeter, thereby improving stability in flight and resulting in longer throws.
就变成了 the d, once.... ,but now it is lined... 红色的那部分就是d的同位语了，句子主线成了 the d but now it is lined 就不是一个主句，一个分句了，而变成了一个有两个主语的句子，显然错了

首先，discus 铁饼的意思，track competition 田径赛 weight 中心 还有一短语更是没想到 line with，来自Longman词典；line [transitive]

这道题已经在og12 23题出现，不过要是懂了单词的意思，就可以看出选项中代词指代有问题

标题: 关于D的看法。
首先说 ，14楼给出的句子不对，加入D没有it is，所以14楼说的变成了一个有两个主语的句子我感觉是不对的，但是如果把, once designed with its weight concentrated in a metal center, 看做插入语，那么句子就成了
The the discus used in track competition but now lined with ，还是可以成立的，只是说这里的but后省略了相同的主语，但是这里的转折就有点奇怪了，曾经用于在比赛里但是现在怎么怎么，意思上就奇怪了，所以我认为D是没有语法错误的，错就错在这个转折。

D. The discus used in track competition, once designed with its weight concentrated in a metal center, but now
這個選項我發現.....好像沒動詞 used ...designed but ....lined
E. The discus used in track competition was once designed having its weight concentrated in a metal center and now
用and無法達到轉折語氣

E后面会产生逻辑主语和实际主语的混淆(weight and discus之间），没有C那么清晰，从头到尾都是THE DISCUS是主语。

而且如果大家都不懂这句话里面的单词，就是只从语法角度分析，lined的修饰对象会不会引起歧义呢？是discus还是its weight 。。。？反正如果我不懂单词的意思我真的会搞不清
反正怎么看怎么错
