第一题 black american 不是有效区分点， 都可以
第二题 时间状语修饰的是名词construction， 主句谓语不受限制， 随便用， 选A

答案沒錯
在這題, emdash可以看成comma, 用emdash是引起reader對emdash之後的東東的注意
所以emdash之後不可以是完整句子(沒連詞是run-on)

我觉得还是有问题，one of the three best novels ever written by sb. 中的one 的确是 one of the three best novels 的 中心词（A of B 结构），但是后面的 ever written by sb. 的 sb. 是修饰 three best novels 的，所以不应该用 a black american

我也有同感，这和刘振民语法讲的完全相反，刘振民说one of A后面的定语肯定是修饰A的。不过楼上有人提过a black american和black americans没区别，这个倒是有道理，因为都是泛指，刘振民好像提过只有泛指和特指的区别。。。那么就是说这两个的区别根本不能区别正确选项。。。。不知道我这么理解对么，亟待大牛揭晓。。。。

另外我还是不明白破折号的用法，不是解释说明么？为什么一定要the others对应呢？？另外这个being就更玄乎了，先不说不是介词加being done,也不是being做主语，这个being究竟可以怎么用，能有个大牛来做个详细总结么？？

正确答案：E. written by是形容novels的吧，为什么要接a Black American呢？
这里用a Black American而不用Black Americans，是为了消除歧义。
因为根据题意，后面的including或the others是要修饰作品，但从句子结构来看，它们还有修饰Black Americans的可能，用a Black American消除了这种可能性。

个人认为把握两点：
1 the others being 用来修饰three best novels的，根据句意来，且后面必须用’s的形式和前面的JT‘s cane相一致 破折号是解释说明的作用
2 如果用including 会变成修饰black americans 和句意不符
只能用being 没有问题

但是后来想一下，就光从句意来理解，E还是好一点
B，《。。。》被称为...的三本书之一，包括。。。
E，《。。。》被称为...的三本书之一，另外的包括。。。
E明显更make sense
还有就是，
Jean Toomer's Cane 刚好和
Richard Wright‘s xxx 还有 Ralph Ellison’s XXX对应。

一个最直接的方法，虽说不靠谱，就是直接看书名的表达方式：作者名's 书名。
五个选项里只有E选项是和原句中Jean Toomer's Cane的表达一样的。
the others 对应 one of the three best novels，限定了其修饰对象是novel而不是black american。
虽说这方法语法性和逻辑性都不强，但个人觉得语法题有时候不太苛刻地钻语法。。个人感觉，否则会化简为繁，越做越云里雾里。。

这道题目好难，我一开始就把CDE排除了
这道题目，毫无疑问的ever written by Black Americans修饰的是novels
在以前所有的学习中，都是要用复数Black Americans，但答案永远是正确的
我注意到，以前学习中，都是主谓一致
而本题中，a Black American是主语，novels是宾语，主宾之间不存在一致的问题，所以a Black American和Black Americans都是正确的
本题看来是主谓一致的一个小陷阱

非常同意。
个人觉得the others就是为和one对应，作one...the others...的结构将这几个novel写进去，这样也能把修饰Black Americans的歧义消除。

我觉得还是题目不够严谨，虽然根据排除法我们可以得出答案是E。
step1：应用the others而非including，因为破折号后面是在介绍three best novels中的余下两本。排除BC
step2：题目一直在说的是书novel而非人、作者，因此排除AD。
但是我认为题目中one of the three best novels ever written by存在歧义，如果ever written是修饰one，那么就应该by a Black American；如果ever written修饰three best novels，那么就应该是by Black Americans。
其实无论by的是a BA，还是BAs都能够把原文中的修饰关系明确下来，这应该不是重点。重点应该上面提到的那两步。
个人意见。我最开始也选错来着，而且还是prep和GWD各错了一遍，汗死，做过的都记不住。另外一点我觉得是要在做题的时候牢记的，正确答案是那个最优的，所以如果觉得两个选项都有问题，就选那个错最少的吧

个人认为，B的错误除了including以外，还有一点就是Native Son by Richard Wright和Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison中的by的用法。因为by+...一般只能做状语，不能修饰之前的两部作品。如果by之前加入written的话语法上就是正确的了。
