看that修饰的主语是什么，这里修饰ACCOUNT，只有解释才能生动，才能有细节

现在看起来似乎是D好一些，但是有没有哪位NN再来详细解释一下其它项的错误和D对的最大原因

选B的，这个句子很特殊，其实that是跨过谓语修饰前面的letters和documents的，这种例子（that跨过谓语修饰主语的例子）在GWD前面出现过1-2次，但都是因为that修饰句长而谓语很短所以才调了位子，但这题特殊就特殊在其谓语也比较长所以仅凭结构判断很容易出错，主要应该看意思，这里有一个比较的语法点（比较对象一致性之类的老生常谈就不说了），主要是看那个修饰语gathered from...这说明前面personal life as those中的those修饰的是letters之类的，不是account.根据比较对象一致性前面的that从句修饰的也是letters之类的，因此后面的代词全用pl form的

这样为划线的that,和划线的those的指代都清楚了。

不大理解在yeilding前的谓语为何是are。难道第二句的主语不是 historical account 吗？
