考点：平行对称

1、平行对称-not only… but also…，注意连接对象的形式对称（also 可以省略）。

(A) not only…but also连接对象不对称，but also之间的they多余。

(B) not only…but also连接对象不对称，were able to transform与现在分词creating。

(D) not only…but also连接对象不对称，to transform与现在分词creating不对称。

(E) not only…but also连接对象不对称，but also之间的they were多余。

本题我选了E，我不知道什么时候but also那里代词多余，碰到这种题总是拿不定主义

umm..."but also之间的they were多余"的說法不太precise.
not only...but (also)...的結構要求絶對的平衡, 所以E錯

可是E选项not only后面是able to，然后also后面也是able to，不是很对称么？

还是说不是看also后面，而应该看but后面啊。。。乱了。。。

这样啊。。。那一般那些but和also中间不就应该不加代词咯？可是我有看到gmat里的文章都有not only do。。。。，but they also这样的句子呢。。

个人觉得是因为not only but also里面also可以省略,因此要看but 后面来定句式是否真的平行.
