A 指代有问题

and 'their'. yet, 'be likely/unlikely to do sth/ be + adj.'

I agree! This is subject- agreeement issue. That is, in (A) and E, change has been made to the subject, thereby changing the meaning of the main clause.

In (a), it(S) is(V) unlikely (that (its effect on their size...) adj clause)

In (e), its effect on their size(S) is (v)+ C ( not likely to be significant...)

I think e is more precise. But how would I know when I am at the test?????

是不是be likely／unlikely后面不能跟从句？只能加不定式？

斑竹说过。it作形式主语时可与其他it有不同含义。
