Although improved efficiency in converting harvested trees into wood products may reduce harvest rates, it will stimulate demand by increasing supply and lowering prices, thereby boosting consumption.红色字为划线部分，我选A,可正确答案为in converting harvested trees into wood products may reduce harvest rates, demand will be stimulated because of increasing supply and lowering prices, which boost我明白正确答案没错，可原文错哪了呢？it指代efficiency主动stimulate，不是比demand被动要好么？？

谈谈个人意见吧... 你说it 指 efficiency 我觉得说得通，但是两句话主语一样不觉得怪怪的？我是觉得有点run on 的意思你体会一下，另外 boost这个动作是谁发出来的也得搞明白要是A的话还是efficiency 发出来的，我觉得不如increasing supply and lowering prices合理

答案A的话， improved efficiency 是stimulate demand， increasing supply，和 lowering prices的主语，也容易造成后面boosting动作发出者的混乱。

而正确答案，demand是没有主语的，仅和increasing supply and lowering prices有关，这个很好的解释了逻辑关系：improved efficiency increases supply and lowers prices; then, incresed supply and lowered prices stimulate the demand. 用了which，后面boost的动作发出者明确。

可我觉得thereby boosting可以是分词引导从句表主句的结果，这样的情况下boosting不是没有发出者么？

a 结构确实很好很想正确答案...但我又发现了一个问题，by increasing...and by lowering这两个动作不是efficiency 能够发出的，所以说以名词形式 increasing supply and lowering prices 出现更合理
