标题: 求助一道LR：两个选项的比较
15. People who have doctorates in the liberal arts are interested in
improving their intellects. Companies, however, rarely hire people who
are not concerned with the financial gain that can be obtained by hard
work in the business world. As a result, companies rarely hire people
who have doctorates in the liberal arts.

The conclusion of the argument follows logically if which one of the following is assumed?

A. Companies would hire people with doctorates in the liberal arts if
such people were interested in the money available in the business
world.

B. Some people who are interested in the liberal arts do not care about money.

C. The only people not interested in making money in the business world
are people who are interested in improving their intellects.

D. People with doctorates in teh liberal arts are interested in employment in the business world.

E. Only people not concerned with making money in the business world are interested in improving their intellects.

题目说有XX博士学位的人想improve intellects，公司很少雇佣对钱不感兴趣的人，所以公司很少雇佣有XX学位的人（也就是想improve intellects 的人）。

assumption就是对钱不感兴趣能推出想improve intellects 。

答案是E ，我也恍恍惚惚感觉E好些，但是不知道E和C的区别在哪里？请指教，谢谢!

强调的是人，讨论的是有这种行为方式的人。

Only people not concerned with

落脚点在行为方式，讨论的是人的行为方式。

显然，我们的assume需要的是一种思辨，而不是一种对人的描述。

此题缺乏的一步桥梁是：not concern financial gain=care about improving intellects

C正好补了这个桥梁
E过于绝对，说只要不关心financial gain的人就是要提高intellects的人，虽然也补上了逻辑关系但过分了。过分答案是不准确的

这个显然是E，没什么讨价还价的余地。考的是集合包含。isabel说错了，桥梁是care about improving intellects -> not concern financial gain。这里面没有什么等于的关系。

这种“The conclusion of the argument follows logically if which one of the following is assumed?”就是要求argument100%严丝合缝，它和support题是不同的两种题型。
