The investigations of many psychologists and anthropologists support the generalization of there being little that is a significant difference in the underlying mental processes manifested by people from different cultures.

(A) of there being little that is a significant difference

(B) of there being little that is significantly different

(D) that there is little that is significantly different

(E) that there is little of significant differences

答案是D

疑惑：考点上说significantly和significant不能随意更改，否则变更了原意，所以我选择的是E.

笔记是这样说的：

(A) of there being代替that同位语从句表达复杂,笨拙并且不符合习惯.

(B) 错误同A选项

(D) 正确, 用that同位语从句清楚地解释了generalization的内容

(E) significant differences在这里可以理解为有重要意义的区别,也可以理解为重要的区别,因此不如significantly表达意思清楚

我对D &E的解释还是迷惑，请明示D & E到底怎么判断，谢谢

E中little不能修饰可数名词differences，因此排除E.

但是D选项我也觉得别扭，如果换成that there is little significantly different 就好理解了

通过应该使用宾语还是宾语从句可以很容易的去掉ABC
但是D和E中的表达，其实还是很类似的，当时做的时候考虑了简洁用法，所以选择了E

再反过来想下：除了说significantly只是表示程度深，significant可能表示程度深，也可能表示意义深刻的，可能混淆以外，
从这个句子的角度来看，D中的little that is significantly different in XXXX 强调的是整个句子，比较合适和合理，
而E中只是强调一个differences一个词。

同时如果真的要使用difference的话应该用单数来修饰little，而不是复数。

there is 不是表示客观存在，一般情况下there is 都是错的啊，为什么选D?

这个题目我也不明白D 选项的there is little that is 的功能，不过只能用排除法排除E 了.
