答案是C，这是为什么呢?我选的是A

这句话最好的表达是体现因果关系

因为 an oil barge ran aground off and its cargo of 750000 gallons leaking .... 所以 polluting the beaches

C就是这个意思。

A的while体现不出这个含义，反而表达的是两个动作是同时发生的。

这道题要更据逻辑选择最合理的表达方式。

应该是leaking 导致
pollution，这里while causing 修饰的是主句
