标题: 定语从句的主谓一致
1) He is one of the seven students that go abroad.

这句中的从句是修饰 “students" 所以是复数：他是7个出国学生中的一个。

2) He is the only one of the seven students that goes abroad.

这句中的从句是修饰 " the only one" 所以是单数：他是7个学生中其中一个仅仅出国的。

3) He is only one of the seven students that go abroad.

但是这句，我就有点模糊了，他与第二句只是一个"the"的区别。为什么这句就用"go"而不用"goes" 呢？

请与指点！

我的理解是，第二句和第三句的区别在于：

2）他是七个学生中唯一一个出国的。这里“出国”修饰only one

3）他只是七个出国学生中的一个。这里“出国”修饰七个学生。

1， A attributive clause, in A and C, normally modifies the nearest antecedent.

2, However, there are always some exceptations, for example, in B, when it is logically wrong. it doesn't make sense to have the attributive clause modify 'seven students'

3, In order not to cause ambiguity, sometimes singular or plural is used to show where the antecedent is.
