L病是通过LT虫传染给人类的一种细菌引起的。大多数情况下LT虫是在幼虫阶段在被感染的白脚老鼠身上觅食时携带上这种病菌的。然而,其他种类的LT虫在幼虫阶段的觅食的宿主不携带这种病菌。因此,如果其他种类的LT虫增加了,携带特定病菌的LT虫数量就会减少,进一步的感染L病的人数量就会减少。
C DT虫只在幼虫时期觅食一次。
就是说它除了觅食时的宿主之外没有别的接触那种细菌的机会。排除了不再白脚老鼠身上吃东西的别的LT虫在别的地方吃东西携带病菌的可能。因此是加强。
