为什么选B呢，与A相比意思没有改变吗？这里的one不会引起歧义吗？but one that是同位语从句吗？

两个分句逻辑上很连贯，不应该用semicolon分开。not...but...的句型，不是同位语从句.one指代a principle.
A里面it是指代了a new principle(it是完全指代)，逻辑不合理.

那么如果把D的are 改成is，是不是就是正确的？

present改为are，逻辑上就不对了.zones和principle不能等价
