Old drug taken after 3 days -> people usually feel better -> caused the reinfection

in similarity, we hope to have a new one as:

New drug taken after 3 days -> people usually feel better -> caused less reinfection

Hence, to strengthen the reasoning above, the answer E can foster the center of reasoning given above.
