the answer is e,but i chose a

从平行来讲,一定是选E

但是e似乎改变了原意?

traveled through the North to exhort

我最初的理解是traveled是served的同位语,
to exhort表示travel的目的。

但是看到答案以后觉得traveling是用来解释served as a recruiting agent,只是觉得如果把and exhorting改为to exhort会不会更好?

这题我又错了。翻回以前问的,还是有些不懂。

难道traveled不能修饰served 吗?

而且改变句义的问题。。。
