which one most strengthens the author's argument

A many workers who have already lose their jobs to automation have been unable to find new jobs

B many corporation that have fail to automate have seen their profit decline.

C taxes and unemployment insurance are paid also by corporations that are not automating

D most of the new jobs created by automation pay less than the jobs eliminated by automation did

E the initial investment in machinery for automation is often greater than the short--term saving in labor costs

For company, the reasoning is given below:

Lay off more workers --> Pay more taxes and unemployment insurance payments

Hence, how to strengthen the reasoning? once more layed-off workes can not seek the new job yet, then the previous company will pay longer for these unemployed worker until they got the new one.

The asnwer is the most likely one in matching our reasoning above.

Hope helps

Alex
