我的问题是，如果我想表达对比地点就是”in sporting goods stores“和”in department stores “对比。应该怎么表达？

like/unlike介词其后应该借名词。这个题由于有 unlike 　限制，必须比较对等成分，即主语 shoppers　所以必须有those代替shoppers

如果在as...as或than结构中可以直接接介词短语比较，第二个as或than为连词所以可以接介词短语

就像楼上songlovegt同学所说，介词结构比较都是由 than和as引起的。

as单独使用也可以引出介词结构比较，但好像gmat题目里，到目前为止只有一种形式。

就是 In A as In B.

另外as单独用法就是这样： A do sth , as do B (时态都可以变，也可以不一致）

A is sth, as is B (同上）
