考点：时态+修饰语only的位置不随意变动

通过以上两点。可以选出答案。没有问题。

不过。我不太明白这句话到底是什么意思？代词one指代的是什么？这里逗号后面是同位语吗？

总感觉only放在这里修饰eight很奇怪。

大全注解说“C) remains时态错, 且没有主谓一致。”

记得n1 of n2 后的谓语动词单复数应该根据n1 决定。不过这里是不是因为that从句不能跳跃修饰所以 c）中的remains错呢？

that　通常就近修饰，即便是修饰 n1　其前边应该有the 限定，形式 the n1 of n2 that
C 里 one 前无 the 限定，相反其后有限定词 the 修饰of the only eight　所以 relative clause 理应修饰 the eight battlefields

继续弱问。为什么加the与不加the重心不一样呢？不太明白。

加the 特指，有强调意味，即中心词即the 后面的那个词

比如 the number of sth. is is和the number 一致
one number of sth. are 　　 are和sth.一致

那可以理解为加the 就相当于特指了吗？泛指和特指在一起。强调的重心是特指。
