请问A中the deal 用were可以吗？不是单数吗？

这是一个虚拟的条件(暗含不希望未来会发生或者未来发生可能性不大的意思).所以用了were.

这种属于主从真实和虚拟条件混用吧。

umm...这个从句没有对应的主句，应该是一种省略的写法.

not one of +复数名词谓语动词用单数吗？
这个表达时部分否定吧？为什么不能当做one of +复数名词+复数谓语动词来看呢？

对于of的修饰很迷惑，通常的两个规则one of+n.由n的单复决定谓语动词；the only one of+n.+单数谓语动词，都明白.
但是有的时候the least one/the last one怎么看呢？

- not one of X, 用單數謂語
- one of them/複數的東東, 用*單*數謂語
- 可是如果是one of [複數的東東] that, 那就要看意思, 有書說one of *the* [複數的東東] that之後一定是單數謂語
- 沒看懂LS mm問的the least/last one

the last one of those apples還可以...
the last one of those apples用單

C中be signed句法不对，因为后面的虚拟是一种省略的用法，没有主句，这里的a merger agreement is signed是一个独立的句子,而不是if the deal were XXX 的主句

D not one of XXX 应该和one of XXX的用法一样，都是单数，are expected就不正确， for buying不正确。it指代不清，如果按照就近原则的话，应该是修饰bank，不正确。with a provision for penalties included，有些冗余。

E are expected就不正确， they指代不清

版主，我还是有点疑惑，A中a merger agreement is signed that includes a provision 这个that难道不是引导的限制性定语从句吗？如果是，又怎么可以隔开修饰对象呢

今天总结的时候刚发现NN们对including的更正，这个是介词不是分词，用在逗号后，修饰前面名词，不一定是最近的，这要看逻辑意思。
